Note: All NOAA-18 MIMU laser gyros have failed; operating RGYRO GYE mode since August 9, 2017 (17/229). Estimated yaw errors �} 0.5 degrees. AVHRR imagery at scan edges will show geolocation errors but usable. On May 31, 2025 NOAA-18 STX-4 S-Band XMTR power reduction resulted in degraded imagery and data drop outs. On June 6, 2025 at 17:40 UTC, NOAA-18 was Decommissioned.
